Who's your favorite designer, most memorable road trip? My favorite designers are: Bob Mackie, Vivienne Westwood and Christian LaCroix. My most memorable road trip was my first time going to Bermuda; actually, I loved my trip to Paris as well! Do you feel that you bring the soul of the designer to life when you're on the runway in their designs? Yes! I feel that it is my responsibility as a model to bring each garment to life! I love modeling evening gowns the most. Tell us about your company. House of JC Entertainment, LLC is a company founded by my husband, Ernest Collins and me. Together we manage a variety of subsidiaries including: Jada's Model Boot Camp, Jada Collins' Publishing, and The Jada Show. Jada's Model Boot Camp is a model studio for children, teens and adults. We specialize in runway etiquette, building self-confidence and runway performance. Jada Collins' Publishing is my publishing company that published my book and I am in the process of signing other authors to JCP. The Jada Show is a lifestyle, image enhancement variety talk show. I've interviewed celebrity fashion designers such as Angela Dean and Lloyd Klein who have designed garments for elebrities such as Angelina Jolie, Halle Berry, Tyra Banks, Paris Hilton, Eva Longoria, Sarah Jessica Parker and Oprah Winfrey. |

Community service is important, what would you consider your most rewarding experience? I enjoy speaking to young people and adults across the country, encouraging them to do their best, love themselves, and to reach for higher heights. The most important aspect of community service is being able to empower others! In addition to community service, I am laying the foundation for a talk show that will encourage others to attain their dreams and goals. Through my books, speaking and upcoming multi-media ventures, my goal is to impact the lives of many that face struggles of physical and sexual abuse, poor self- concept and abandonment. My passion is to ensure that every life I touch will become more meaningful. |
When we see a model, we think: she’s so lucky.. she has it all, beauty, nice clothes, money. But we don’t see what’s on the inside. It could be ugliness, self-doubt or even self-hatred. We don’t know what models’ lives are really like, or were like. Beauty is only skin deep. Behind the beauty, there is oftentimes emotional turmoil. Young girls all over the world see pictures of models on magazine covers and on TV and wish to have a life like the ones they imagine the models’ lives are like. But imagine growing up with abuse and hatred. How do we overcome the feelings rooted within us? How will we become happy? |
